Sony Announces Optimally Designed "Sony Tablet" with Android 3.0 that Complements Network Services for an Immersive Entertainment Experience

Sony Corporation ("Sony"), announces "Sony Tablet" that delivers the perfect combination of hardware, content and network with seamless usability for a high-quality, engaging entertainment experience. Based on decades of engineering heritage, Sony is developing two tablets with unprecedented design, including S1 (codename) which is optimized for rich media entertainment and S2 (codename) which is ideal for mobile communication and entertainment. "Sony Tablet" will become available in the global market starting in fall 2011.

"Sony Tablet" is equipped with the latest Android 3.0 which is designed for devices with larger screen sizes, particularly tablets. Both tablets are WiFi and WAN (3G/4G) compatible and users can not only browse the internet or check e-mail but they can also smoothly access digital content including videos, games and books through Sony's premium network services and more, on-the-go at any time.

S1 has a 9.4-inch display for enjoying the web and rich content on a large screen. Its off-center of gravity design realizes stability and ease of grip as well as a sense of stability and lightness, offering comfortable use for hours.

S2 has two 5.5-inch displays that can be folded for easy portability. It's basically the NanoTechnology on which they are working, It uses zinc oxide nanowires to generate electricity when strained and flexed.

This development represents a milestone toward producing portable electronics that can be powered by body movements without the use of batteries or electrical outlets.

Our nanogenerators are poised to change lives in the future. Their potential is only limited by one’s imagination.

Apple to Licence Airplay Streaming, To Support Even More Video And Audio Devices? [Report]

Bloomberg has just reported that, Apple is seeking to expand it's AirPlay Technology to even more devices, By Licensing Video Streaming to more Tv Makers. Apple is currently Licensing Audio Streaming through Airplay to audio devices maker such as Pioneer. So this concept would be great if Video Streaming iOS supported devices are already installed in Televisions. This will increase Market share and Popularity of AirPlay too.

Under the plan, Apple would license its AirPlay software to consumer-electronics makers that could use it in devices for streaming movies, TV shows and other video content, said the people, who asked to remain anonymous because the plans haven't been made public. Apple now only licenses AirPlay for streaming audio. Devices that could be used for video may be available this year, one of the people said.

An expanded AirPlay would let users stream programming wirelessly from an Apple mobile device to a TV that carries the technology. That may spur wider use of Apple's services and devices in consumers living rooms.

If this happens it would be very easy for users to Stream Videos directly from their Devices, they don't have to buy separate set-top box devices like Apple Tv. BloomBerg also reported that licensees pay Apple $4 for each AirPlay-enabled component sold.

So it would be more fun when AirPlay for games (video-out) with a chip embedded in new television sets, that would be an interesting scenario for Apple.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 are now Official - Thinner, Dual Core Power, TouchWiz 4.0

Samsung has now finally revealed their two new Galaxy Tablets i.e Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1. Both of them are the World Most Thinnest Tablets having 1Ghz Dual Core  Processor. And both of them feature the new OS for Tablets i.e Android 3.0 HoneyComb which give these tablets lots of features. These tablets are 8.6mm Thick that makes it incredibly thinner. As we know Samsung already revealed the Galaxy Tab 10.1 with it's complete specs at MWC but after the release of iPad 2 they Revamped/OverHaul the 10.1 Tablet and now finally released it.

These tablets will hit Markets on June 8th 2011. 

Pricing:

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi 16GB version will cost you $499 and the 32GB for $599. And the Galaxy Tab 8.9 will be $469 and $569 for 16GB and 32GB.

Blackberry PlayBook 16 GB Wifi Only Models, Pre Order Begins at $499.99

So now the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is ready for Pre-Orders at BestBuy. It will cost you $499.99 for this tablet. It's a 7-Inch Tablet priced at $499.99, when compared to iPad 2 it isn't that much good with the price and Specs prespective. It's now available for pre orders in both BestBuy and Future Shop.
